Can you believe that congress is go to take a vacation when we need them the most?  What is Congress doing for the American people. Nothing, when gas prices are at and all time high and the economy is at its worst in 30 years.. I am glad to see congress can afford gas price to be able to take a vacation... I am so sick and tied of the US Government not doing what the people want... last time I looked we elect them to rep. us in Congress?  I think we need to start electing John Q Public to rep us up there in Washington DC..... If the American people don't do something soon the people in Congress are going to be so RICH we will not be able to stop them from raising Gas and fuel prices.... they are saying that heating fuel this winter is going to be 14% higher the last year.....and what are the people going to do this winter when they can not afford to pay for the fuel and we have people with no heat and are going to the hosp. for hypothermia and are freezing to death...so tell me what the people are going to do about the butt holes up there in Washington DC... At least the highest court in the land is making good choices ( like the hand gun issue).  I don't know about you but I do not want to be paying 6.00 or 7.00 dollars a gallon for gas.... its just like all of the states take advantage of all the cig. smokers and taxing the hell out of cig. New Jersey has cig tax at 2.58 per pack...where is all that money going. Tax rate is scheduled to increase to $2.00 per pack on September 30, 2008 (http://www.taxadmin.org/FTA/rate/cigarett.html)...  oil hit 140.54 a barrel (http://www.oil-price.net/)  I can not believe that Congress is taking a vacation!!!!!  Here are just a few things that our Congress does during the day....

H.R. 4918:

to name the Department of Veterans Affairs medical center in Miami, Florida, as the "Bruce W. Carter Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center"

This is what we pay the Congress to debate and pass laws on, What is wrong with the people in Washington that call themselves Americans.... I just don't understand how are Government can sit up there is Washington DC and call themselves Americans?  and then take a vacation at the tax payers expense... well you just think about that for a bit
